Keratosis Pilaris Treatment Blog Here.  This blog was created in order to better educate Keratosis Pilaris (KP) sufferers of various Keratosis Pilaris treatment options, and to determine the most effective products for KP treatment.  Let me tell you a little about myself.  All of my life I have suffered from Keratosis Pilaris. I did not realize that I had this skin condition when I was younger and caulked up the red bumps on my body to dry skin.  I recently went to a dermatologist who was able to diagnose me with KP through a visual inspection. I was offered a variety of treatment options including exfoliating with a light exfoliating pad and cleanser and applying either, LacHydrin, Carmol 30 or Retin-A to the affected area. I left the dermatologist office confused as I was given unclear advice to which treatment/product was the most effective. Also, as I’m on a budget, I did not want to spend a fortune on one product and not have any results (as treatment options get costly). For example, a day’s application (one tube) of a high level Retin-A product can cost up to $40! I scoured the web to determine the most effective treatments and became dizzy digesting all the keratosis pilaris treatment options that people have listed on forums, social and health websites. Over-whelmed, I thought “it would be great if there was a one stop website with a comprehensive review of popular treatments/products on the market to treat KP.” That’s why this blog was created. Starting soon (once I receive all the products), I will test a variety of treatment/products for Keratosis Pilaris.
